Edmond J. Keller is Professor and Chair of UCLA Political Science Department, Director of the UCLA Globalization Research Center-Africa, former Director of the James S. Coleman African Studies Center at the University of California-Los Angeles, and recent recipient of the 2008 ASA Distinguished Africanist Award. Specializing in Political Theory, Steve On is advised by Carole Pateman. His dissertation undertakes a systematic critique of multiculturalism and human rights. In addition to these areas of interest, On’s research cuts across: Gender Studies, Immigration Policy, Cultural Studies, and Ethnic Studies. In short, On is committed to interdisciplinarity. Some of his research has appeared in political theory journals and international relations journals.
