Undergraduate Scholarships for Political Science
Congressman Brad Sherman Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000 (Five scholarships awarded per year)
Deadline: April 15, 2011
Eligibility: Complete at least one quarter of academic work as a declared pre-
political science or political science major while enrolled full time. Applicants must have a cumulative minimum 3.0 GPA at UCLA. Community college grade points do not apply toward the UCLA GPA. All grades are eligible.
Description: Applicants must provide a brief cover letter with all of your contact information, to include mailing address, phone number, and e-mail. Applicants must submit a 1-2 page typed statement describing yourself and any public service or political aspirations, any political experience (as an intern, for example), and reasoning for your career choice. Include any experience or interest in political poll taking, campaign consulting, being on a legislative staff in a district office or the Capitol, political advertising and political law.
