Chief Administrative Officer
Responsible for department operations. Manages all administrative services in relation to the department's teaching, research and public service activities. Responsible for planning and policy development, budgetary control, events, selection and supervision of personnel.
Student Affairs Officer III - Graduate Students
Counsels and advises graduate students on University and departmental requirements for the Ph.D. degree. Provides recruitment, admissions, orientation and placement services, assigns Teaching Assistants, monitors students progress toward the degree.
Student Affairs Officer I - Graduate Students
Assists with counseling and advising students on University and departmental requirements for the Ph.D. degree. Coordinates graduate admission, job placement, processes, organizes and maintains the administrative functions of the Graduate Student office.
Student Affairs Office II - Undergraduate Students
Counsels and advises undergraduate students about degree requirements for the major in Political Science. Processes petitions, refers students to other University resources, processes grade changes, "incompletes" and grade rosters. Responsible for class scheduling, course enrollment, assists with the coordination of Summer Sessions courses, online book ordering and scheduling of department-controlled instructional equipment.
Student Affairs Officer II
Academic Personnel Manager
Responsible for the operational and administrative activities of Academic Personnel for the faculty members. Processes submission of Faculty Cases for merits and promotions.
Responsible for processing employment and all payroll actions for Lecturer's, staff, teaching assistants, readers and graduate students. Assists the Personnel Manager with the submission of Faculty Cases.
Special Events and Vice-Chairs' Assistant
Coordinates special events and functions for the department. Parking coordinator for faculty, staff and students.
